Hello! I'm a full-stack software engineer based in Vancouver. I love solving real-life problems and building amazing products. I'm interested in distributed systems, machine learning pipeline, and cloud infrastructure engineering. In my spare time, I like to work on programming projects, contribute to open source projects, take astrophotography, read books, and play video games. I currently work at BC Cancer Research Center in Vancouver as an SWE Intern. I am looking for Summer 2022 Software Engineer Internship Opportunities in US and Canada.

Experienced with the Python ASGI ecosystem, especially FastAPI. Well versed in full stack web development using frontend frameworks (React + Vue) and Node.js backend ecosystem.
Familiar with relational and NoSQL database design (PostgresSQL + MongoDB + CockroachDB).
Knowledgeable on security concerns for public web services and experienced in deploying containerized stacks (Docker) on multiple cloud providers (AWS + GCP).
Deeply passionate about learning and building scalable distributed systems. Enjoys using Golang and Rust to write decentralized and distributed applications.
Comfortable working with gRPC and distributed consensus protocols such as Raft. Firm understanding of various consistency models and their tradeoffs.
Interested in working on large scale distributed Machine Learning and Data processing infrastructures. Knowledgeable in various distributed computation design patterns.
